IngoRuns started as a way to switch off work and life stress. What started as a side hobby, gradually become a detailed record of my parkrun tourism across the UK and beyond.
I enjoy visiting new parkrun locations. Exploring new venues gives me a recurring ‘private moment’ at the end of my week and an excuse to see places I wouldn’t otherwise see.
But the hobby has also given me a wealth of data and information that I can share with the community. As I progress, I have collected in-depth write ups and video highlights of all events in Greater London (parkrun LonDone) and Surrey. And I will keep growing from there.
This page is a hub for everything parkrun. Do you want to find an obscure event in a new parkrun region? Do you want to know how many parkruns there are in Surrey to complete it or what event to visit during a weekend in London? Over time, the information you need will be collected here. From the perspective of an average runner: not someone who chases wins. Someone who enjoys sharing his explorations and visiting the many beautiful parkrun events and welcoming teams we have around the country.
There are many other passionate parkrunners who have explore the country in a similar manner. Richard Gower did it before me, with his excellent parkrun Collection. It remains a beacon for the community: I am not trying to compete and I will only cover events I have been at and regions I have completed. There are to many others to mention here, some are listed on my parkrun resources links list. However, one honourable mention needs to be given to Blog7t, probably the most comprehensive parkrun blog out there. Definitely worth a visit if you are interested in the history of a location you are planning to visit.
